Every Donor Makes a Difference
Nothing is greater than the joy of leaving a legacy. You can leave one—to BCSF, one of the oldest public charities in the state. Your generosity helps sustain the vital mission of lifting barriers to teachers and students in the Bartholomew Consolidated School District. Donors are heroes to our students, and can continue to build upon that legacy in many different ways. There are many ways to support BCSF while also receiving a tax benefit to yourself.

Bequests. Here is some sample language you can use in your will to make a gift to BCSF:

Retirement Account Gifts:
Qualified Charitable Deduction (QCD). If you are 70.5 years or older, you can make a tax-free contribution from your IRA to BCSF, a 501(c)(3) public charity, of up to $100,000 annually. Contact your fund administrator to request distribution.
Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). If you are 73 or older, you are required to take withdrawals from your IRA by the RMD deadline, usually December 31st. You may roll that into a public charity like BCSF tax free.
